PacBrake strongly recommends installing heavy duty (60 psi) exhaust valve springs with their exhaust brake on 1988-1998 12 valve Dodge Cummins for optimum braking power. The factory exhaust valve springs are not rated to retain the pressure the PacBrake puts forth on the springs.
The Hamilton Cams 07-S-6.7F Performance Valve Springs eliminate valve float caused by elevated RPM and boost pressure in your Ford 6.7L Powerstroke. If you have an aftermarket turbo and are running more rpm than factory, you will see a few problems if you are still using OEM springs. First, valve float, which can cause serious damage to the valvetrain. Second, intake and exhaust valves can be blown open by boost and exhaust drive pressure which allows reversion. Reversion can hurt your power potential by allowing exhaust gasses to enter the cylinder on the intake stroke.
This spring allows you to run higher boost pressures and rpms without experiencing valve float. No extra cylinder head machining is required to run these springs. Depending on installed height, you will have approximately 130# installed pressure.
A direct drop in replacement for engines with higher than stock boost levels and horsepower. Do not worry about valve float again! Fits 6.0/6.4 Ford Powerstrokes. Inert gasses in the exhaust, when re-introduced into the cylinder shield the fuel particles from oxygen in the cylinder.
Stock springs have 78-82lbs of pressure seat pressure on average at 1.380". If you are over 50psi (boost or drive presure) and 3,800 rpm, stock springs do not fully control the valvetrain. This allows a few negative things to happen. First, valve float, which can cause serious damage to the valvetrain. Second, intake and exhaust valves can be blown open by boost and exhaust drive pressure which allows reversion. Reversion can hurt your power potential by allowing exhaust gasses to enter the cylinder on the intake stroke. Inert gasses in the exhaust, when re-introduced into the cylinder shield the fuel particles from oxygen in the cylinder.
There comes a point as rpm, lift and spring pressures increase, that a single spring is no longer up to the task of controlling the valves. This is when it is time to use a dual spring. Our springs are made in the USA. They come with Retainers and 10 degree locks. These will need to be run without steam seals or your head must be cut for smaller seals.
If you are over 30lbs of boost/drive pressure or over 3500rpm with your 12valve, you are experiencing a few negative things.
Also used as heavy-duty intake valve springs for high RPM or performance camshaft applications. Replacement exhaust valve springs to allow for 60psi of brake pressure on 12-valve engines.
The Diesel Rx DRX00058 Glow Plug for your 2001-2004 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7 is precisely engineered and built in the U.S.A. as a direct replacement for your factory glow plugs.
